Lake View Hotel has been an iconic destination on Michigan’s Mackinac Island for over 150 years. The Victorian-era hotel had a recent update to give it a more modern style while honoring its historic charm and architecture. For the 85 rooms and suites, Bernhardt Hospitality crafted a range of casegoods with an updated traditional look, from headboards to dressers to microfridge units. The sand-washed woods and range of blues and greens were all inspired by the Lake Huron location, while the spindle beds and classic details recall the charm of the 19th century on this car-free island that only allows horses and bicycles as transportation.
